The Owner and main inspector of Escape Artists is Jabal Engelhard.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the California Maritime Academy, Vallejo, CA and is native to San Francisco.  After ten years as a journeyman Local 39 high-rise building engineer, he met the former owner of Escape Artists, through a mutual friend.  Jubal immediately liked to idea of helping to maintain a safe path of egress from properties and working with metals, so for six months they worked together and the business changed hands.

Almost 3 years later, the company offers respectful, trustworthy workmanship, with an eye for detail and safety.  The mission of Escape Artists is Making Properties Safer!  Through periodic inspection and maintenance of a property’s fire escapes, a high degree of safety is provided residents, and unexpected costs to Owners and Managers are avoided.

Jabal holds a current Certificate as a San Francisco High Rise Safety Director, and a California Electrical Contractors License.  He also provides facility engineering solutions and service to a private high school in San Francisco, and enjoys scenic and landscape photography.
